BitComet - Preview while Downloading

Oct 09, 2007, 05:47 AM [Reply]

Preview while downloading: preview of MP3, rmvb, wmv, and so on, is available during downloading process.

With Bitcomet version 0.60 or above You could preview the videos only minutes after downloading begun instead of waiting dozens of hours to finish the download. At present, most of the video files on internet have huge sizes, especially .divx files, even bigger than 1G. And there are some torrents containing fake contents which may waste you lots of time to download. With this new function, you could check the content by preview files and decide whether to continue download or remove the download tasks and files.

How to preview a video file?

Right click a torrent and select “Play”, and then make the checkbox before your wanted file checked, click on “Preview” to play.

Depends on your connection speed, size of buffer needed as well.

Try selecting files in a multipart one and playing one of those if you want to preview. Otherwise for movies all the info stated on the window that opens for you.

and also the percentage of the file currently downloaded affects the preview, along with connection speed & buffer & etc.

Go to CNET.COM for a free VLC Player so you can preview all you`r downloads first be for you waist to much of time with junk!

You won't be able to preview zipped or .rar files as they're compressed. Only avi files. If a movie has a sample.avi with it, you can download that first and then play that also which will reduce your buffer (memory) and save you time.

Hi. Can someone please help me? I need help... Erm. My download was on 4.4% [I don't even know if that was enough] and I clicked on preview and waited for it to buffer and everything. When it got to 100% on buffering, it won't let me watch it. I tried to click on play but it kept stopping and wouldn't let me watch. Is this because the download percentage was too low?

I think the best bet is to download first few segments with Azureus and play them with VLC player. Start downloading the following segments as you play along.
