HOLLYWOOD - British actress Helena Bonham Carter and director Tim Burton have welcomed their second child.

The Golden Globe nominee, 41, gave birth to a girl in London on Saturday.

The baby is her second child with Burton, 49--the couple already has a 4-year-old son, Billy.

A spokesman for Bonham Carter tells People.com, "They are absolutely delighted they have a daughter.

"It's a lovely Christmas present for the family."

Burton and Bonham Carter have been dating since meeting on the set of the 2001 movie Planet of the Apes.
