Recently, a great number of players report to us that some players lure them crowds of monsters when they were leveling. It happens repeatedly so that they can’t level their chars or alts. What’s more annoyed is the players who lure monsters get the valuable items regarded as death punishment. Three worst results are caused by this deed. First, people get frustrated and then revenge on others, which irritate more people. Second, people get frustrated and then quit the game, which cause a dead game. Last but not least, people get frustrated and then talk trash, which set a bad example to children in game. No matter what happens, it will spoil game fun and game environment.
Hit and run is a good way to kill elite and boss monsters, especially for archer and mage, so we didn’t pay attention on luring monsters at first. When players complained to us about it, we just regarded it as a trick on Halloween and persuaded “naughty” players not to play it again. After getting more and more grumbles, we realize that some players use this strategy to kill players, not monsters, so now; we ask all of you for opinions whether we should intervene in this matter and stop players luring monsters on other players. In which situations should we intervene? For example, someone lured monsters on you five times or ten times? More than five players report to GMs that someone lured monsters on them at the same time? ... Please try to detail your choice and reason. If we can’t conclude a better way to deal with this kind of problem from your discussion, we will count on our own decision.
