HOLLYWOOD - Oscar nominee Ellen Page will join Cillian Murphy to star in the psychological thriller Peacock. The film takes place in a small Nebraska town where a man with split personalities, Murphy, leads the locals to believe that he is man and wife. Page plays the woman who holds a key to his past. 

Michael Lander co-wrote the script and will direct the film, which is to start shooting in May.

"Peacock stunned me as a script from start to finish," Murphy said. "It offers an incredible challenge to an actor--one I couldn't turn down."

"This is one of the boldest screenplays I've come across in my, albeit short, career," Page said. "It's a character and story I can throw myself into and exactly the type of movie I love to be part of."

Page is currently up for a Best Actress Oscar for her star-making turn in Juno, which is also nominated for Best Picture.
