Jim Jarmusch, who has made several movies with Bill Murray that nobody seems to care about, is making another one. The last one they did together was Broken Flowers, and it seemed a lot like it would have rather been Lost in Translation. The new one is called The Limits of Control, and tonight JJ announced the rest of his cast who are, presumably, doing his movie to score some indie cred. Nobody actually watches Jarmusch movies, but having one on your resume seems kind of awesome. Plus, some of them are even kind of good.

So in addition to Bill, he’s hired John Hurt, Gael García Bernal, Tilda Swinton, Youki Kudoh, Jean-Fran?ois Stévenin, , Alex Descas, Luis Tosar, Isaach De Bankolé, and Hiam Abbass. Many of those people have, like Bill, also done other Jarmusch movies. Apparently he’s a guy who knows what he likes, and then sticks with it.

As for The Limits of Control, here’s what it’s about: “The new film is the story of a mysterious loner (to be played by Mr. De Bankolé), a stranger, whose activities remain meticulously outside the law. He is in the process of completing a job, yet he trusts no one, and his objectives are not initially divulged. The film is set in the striking and varied landscapes of contemporary Spain (both urban and otherwise).” Well that’s clear as mud. Thanks for nothing press release.
