True" Friendship
None of that Sissy Crap
Are you tired of those sissy "friendship" poems that always sound good,

But never actually come close to reality?

Well, here is a series of promises that actually speak of true friendship.

You will see no cute little smiley faces on this card-

Just the stone cold truth of our great friendship.

1. When you are sad -- I will help you get drunk and plot revenge against

the sorry bastard who made you sad.

2. When you are blue -- I will try to dislodge whatever is choking you.

3. When you smile -- I will know you are thinking of something that I would probably want to be involved in.

4. When you are scared -- I will rag you about it every chance I get until you're Not.

5. When you are worried -- I will tell you horrible stories about how much Worse it could be until you quit whining.

6. When you are confused -- I will try to use only little words.

7. When you are sick -- Stay the hell away from me until you are well again. I don't want whatever you have.

8. When you fall -- I will laugh at your clumsy ass but I'll help you up.

9. This is my oath.... I pledge it to the end. "Why?" you may ask;

"because you are my friend".

well there is no such thing as "friends" just people united my common goals, mutual benefit or convenience. no person can perfectly fit another one, because humans tend to have flaws in communication. think of any "friend you might think you have, and allthough u try to make him feel good, even if you help, even if you talk about your deepest troubles, hell never understand it cause well, he s not u. buddies is the word everyone can be. at some point, they have theyre own lifes and they wont always choose u in it.

And remember: Friends help you move; real friends help you move the body.

yep they are spot on mate.....i laugh me head off at a mate of mine..he bought a new motor bike and was riding away after visiting and looking down at gears to change them,,and then looked up in horror at a parked car and then panicked went head over heels and it was just so funny but i helped him after and during the laughter....he then headed off home and his girlfriend told me he got in and booted the bike which made me laugh more when she told me.....and he explained it all to her....LOL

a true friend will tell you home truths.how much of a plonker you were the night before ie how many bouncers you tried to fight.how many karaoke songs you sang badly.but best off all there the ones who prop you up next to the front door ring the bell and leg it before your mrs answers . got my vote

True friendship is different between different people. Though it never is what you imagine it to be. Number 8. is the one most appropriate for me and my closest friend at the moment. Except she doesn't help me up because i don't give her the chance and she gets annoyed at the fact that i always seem to manage to stay on my feet when i fall over.

G'day mate...loved the post. it's weird but you just described my Joe. He's sooo like that and that's why I love hin so much.One thing I will not do with him is watch a scary movie...he sits there waiting for the right moment to grab me and scare the crap out of me....I get sooo mad and he laughs his head off.

So childish....but he gets me every time.
