Let's get started...

What would we call a code? Well...it's a way we refer to something when we don't want to mention the something's real name.

Why would I want to make reference of myself by a name that isn't mine? Well...in my case, just to change.

I guess there are people embarrased of themselves. Or embarrased of what they think others will think. With a code name, or a nick, username, whatever you want to call it, you can create a whole new person. Even if it's just the ilusion of it. A person that can be totally unrelated to you. You can now be popular, fall in love, have tons of friends. Even those who do have tons of friends and are popular, may want to create this new self, with features not shown to friends. Maybe it's a way of letting go, being free.

In my case I don't seek new friends, or new personality or new enviroment. I don't seek aceptance or freedom. I just like my code. 

My code has no wrappings, no bows and no papers, no fancy adorments or features that aren't me. My code was part of a game I played when I was younger, that became my selected game username. So whenever I have to be known in this kind of cyber world, I just have my code.

Sorry if I bored you, I promise to come up with something better. It's just that it's 4.33am... I've been studying all night and just took a break...Electronics do leave me rather upside down.

I have to admit, it's the first time I heard a nick associated with a code (and I've been on the net for some years now), usually a code is something you make to keep others unaware of your true action/writings, or to let only the closest near them.

Anyhow, I think I'm babbling too, it's (now) about 5AM here, what I mean to say is that I understand what you mean about net identities, but you see, those should be made in good faith and with open heart (which you seem to do quite well) and that this cyber world is as interesting and "real" as the outside world, after all that's what differentiate us from trolls ;)

I'd like to comment a little further, it was really a nice description you gave, and not necessarily about you, but about a lot of people on the net, but I'll have to leave for some more stuff of mine around the house (yeah, at this hour XD). Have a nice stay around here! ;)

That's true. Sametimes we don't want to be seen as we really are- that is why we create our new image - new ourselfs. I would call it freedom - we can be who we want to be
