Lately it’s started to seem like Hollywood, like every major American business, has been intent on shifting most of its productions overseas. Every time a major movie production is announced, it’s either being shot in Australia or Canada or some war-torn eastern country where the women are cheap and the drinking water is deadly. So it’s nice to discover that at least one upcoming film is sticking with the good old U.S. of A.
When Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins starts shooting, it’ll be in New Mexico at Albuquerque Studios. New Mexico has really been making an effort to court the film industry lately, and it looks like it’s paying off. According to the press release the very excited Albuquerque Studios people are sending around, the McG directed fourth Terminator movie will begin filming there in early spring. I guess that means I’d better get on the Blendphone and ring Cinema Blend’s own resident Albuquerquian Scott Gwin. Scott, keep a camera on you and watch for Christian Bale playing tourist on Sandia Crest
