Inside BitComet - Issue 03.

5313vicobitcometxj7

Welcome to this, rather delayed and a little shortned down, release of Inside BitComet. Relax, get a cup of hot chocolate, coffee or tea and enjoy your stay on this Issue!

February has gone past - the last winter month, and I must say it has been a very mild winter on my longitudes, which is a bit interesting since I'm living in the "far" North. But I'm all right with that - now the spring is getting closer, and of course - the summer!

Well, I must say that February has been an extremely boring month for BitComet. However, the start of February, the developers released a new version of BitComet! BitComet V. 0.99, which was one of the best releases yet. It was simply the most stable BitComet version released (besides V. 0.70 of course.)If you haven't updated yet, then I strongly recommend doing it. As I wrote in the announcement, a very important bug got fixed regarding Hash reporting.

We've waited long for BitComet V. 1.0. The developers are working (we must suppose) day and night for this ultimate release that will astonish every BitTorrent user out there. I have personally huge expectations for this release. I see BitComet V. 1.0 as the release with close to none bugs. I see BitComet V. 1.0 with SuperSeeding, able to choose "Hybrid Announce" off, so all trackers is compatible with BitComet - I see BitComet V. 1.0 as the best BitTorrent client out there.

I utterly hope that we don't get disappointed - but why should we? The developers are professional people, and they will make us BitComet users proud of being a part of this community. They will make us delightful over BitComet.

Some insider-information is that the Chinese users (who have more influence on BitComet than we non-Chinese Western and Eastern users have) have asked the developers to take a look on an application called: "BitComet Turbo".

BitComet Turbo has nothing to do with BitComet - the authors of BitComet Turbo has simply stolen the name "BitComet" - still, BitComet Turbo is many times more advanced and has a lot more to offer than BitComet, including SuperSeeding and a built-in tracker.

Actually, BitComet Turbo is nothing more than an Azureus 2.5 client with some additional plug-ins, but the features in BitComet Turbo are highly interesting to the advanced BitTorrent user. However, one thing BitComet is known for is its user friendliness. BitComet is the MOST user-friendly AND advanced ALL-IN-ONE client out there. The developers have managed to build-in advanced functions, but still keep them user-friendly. That's one of the reasons that makes BitComet as good as it is - one thing BitComet Turbo for instance lacks.

BitComet can get better, and if the developers have looked on and build-in some of the functions other clients have (such as BitComet Turbo, µTorrent and Azureus) I can not find any, and I really mean any, arguments against BitComet isn't the best BitTorrent application out there. BitComet combines everything in one application - one user-friendly application, that no other clients I've ever tried ever can beat.

Furthermore, when this blog, CometZone and the comments-feature got introduced, BitComet went out to the actual USERS and formed a community! Now BitComet isn't just another application - it's a whole community included in that single .exe installation file - and that is amazing! I don't say this just because I like BitComet, and has always done, I say this because I really do think BitComet (And everything associated) are amazing! Just look at blog.bitcomet.com and look at all the blogs created - with every blog, BitComet is the source to this blog. And thanks to YOU this community will grow, and BitComet will get better and better.

If just the developers would improve BitComet in the needed areas, then yes I can only say - welcome to the future of P2P BitTorrent filesharing!

Inside BitComet - The Client.

In this section, I would've liked to review BitComet BETA for you, as I usually do in Inside BitComet. Unfortunately, BitComet BETA didn't get released in time - maybe we have to wait a whole month before we see a BETA release - maybe not. I don't mind waiting, when we just know that for every day we wait, BitComet will get better when it is released.

No matter what, keep an eye here on this blog!

And the latest....

Well, what is happening on the trackerscene related to BitComet? I can say that neither good news nor bad news have been said about BitComet (one of the reasons for a boring BitComet month). However, we got fixed and rewritten the article about BitComet on Wikipedia. Feel free to take a look, and feel free to post the article on hostile (or non-hostile :-) ) trackers. Wikipedia is on some communities a reliable source for information, so maybe this will help improving the reputation of BitComet on some trackers.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitcomet

BitComet has been banned on a very few trackers due to the "wrong" announce-wire, but we can't do anything about that until the developers fix this issue. Also, as I hope you read earlier, BitComet is incompatible with many trackers - again due to the "wrong" announcewire I've explained in Inside BitComet issue 02.

We have to wait for BitComet V 1.0!

InSight - Recommendations!

A new section in Inside BitComet is special recommendations - InSight! It's the more non-technical part of this "blog-magazine".

Every month, the most exciting, funny, emotional or any other quality blog here on BitComet will get reviewed and recommended here! Write a comment, if you want your blog to get looked at - and maybe chosen! Also, every month, ONE webpage will get in the spotlight. Usually good sites for finding new things.

1st Blog: You've heard about this one - it's one of the most active blogs on the BitComet community. Caladier's Blog. This blog really shows the possibilities within the BitComet blog.

Caladier is a female from Spain, using BitComet's blog as a source to write her thoughts, funny and highly interesting inputs. The blog is well made, easy to read and looks outstanding! It has nice and calm music. The blog gets read several times a day. Can only be recommended to visit - also to get inspiration to your own piece of your life - your piece of the BitComet community, and the internet - yes, I'm talking about your BitComet blog.

2nd Blog: This blog is filled with lovely emotional poems (written by the author, as far as I understand) and interesting videos and music. It's very, very interesting to read. I'm talking about South African Dave's Blog. Highly recommended!

The last blog that will get its moment of fame is:

3rd Blog: This blog features several torrents, guides, and interesting stuff. Fendy's Blog. It's filled with different stuff - I recommend taking a look on this highly usable blog!

This month's recommended and useful website is:
RLSLOG

Your source for new quality releases! Enjoy!

The final words...

Unfortunately this is the bottom of this issue. I hope you found it highly useful and interesting. Also, remember to ask any questions if you have any on mind! Write any comments, if you like.

I would also like to hear, if you have any comments to things that could be better on Inside BitComet or this blog in general.

Keep an eye for updates and announcements!

Stay healthy, and thanks for reading.

great read mate,e...what i,d like to see inside the bitcomet program itself is some sort of way to sort the speed problem..unlike myself i have no problems to speak off..but have seen so many post,s out there...and remarks on the net about this, then maybe this issue could be looked into futher.instead of people having to look to port forwaring and configuring this that and the other.. within side the program.....

its a great community out there and i liked to thank all who,ve made me and many others so welcomed...

cheers,take care and bless ya

That's a good suggestion, christara. I'll explain the speed-problems and ways to eliminate them in the next release of Inside BitComet.

See my blog recommended in this Post has been really beautiful, thank you for including my blog friend.

Some time ago I had a Post with many complaints towards the development team, which will make many efforts to improve the product, but sometimes they forget about basic things. I do not understand much of the topic but I realize its rulings through Post as yours, which are very clear and instructive therefore Thank you friend.

We no longer an angel to protect you hehehehehehehe

A big hug from my coast in northwestern Spain.
