Another Indiana Jones Trailer Planned

Another Indiana Jones Trailer Planned I know there are a lot of people out there who disliked the trailer for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. I, however, am not one of them. I loved the trailer. I’ll agree it may not have had the best flow to it, but I felt the humor level was just right, maintaining the feel of the previous Indy movies and acknowledging that this is an older Indy, and that critics just need to get over it.

Despite the criticism of the trailer, just about everyone has gone wild over every single new piece of information that’s come out about the new Indiana Jones picture. New image? Take a sip. An interview with a major magazine? Drink that milkshake down. Everyone’s snatching Indy news up – perhaps criticizing it later, but not until they’ve had their fill.

It looks like Paramount is more than happy to keep feeding fans and critics with tidbits about Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. IESB’s Robert Sanchez got the news at ShoWest that Paramount Marketing people are already working on a second trailer for the movie, with a planned mid to late April release date.

Paramount’s big release in April is the first weekend, with The Ruins, but New Line’s Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo hits theaters at the tail end of the month. I’m not sure Paramount would expose a new trailer to the widest possible audience by attaching it to that movie, however. My money is on including it with Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which may be from an opposing studio, but is getting so much praise right now it’s a much better pick than Baby Mama or Forbidden Kingdom for a likely Indiana Jones trailer. The truth is, it’s much more likely Paramount will push the trailer into the very first of May, where they can attach it to their own Iron Man.
