Big L

 Harlem's Finest

About him:

Big L is one of my favorite rappers and he was know'n by ill punchlines and great freestyle talent.

Big L was going platnium, but he was killed only at age 23.

He first single "Lifestyle ov da poor and dangerous" was banned from radio becouse songs like "Da Graveyard", But really It was one of the greatest albums of alltime.

Big L was working "The Big Picture" on his last days and it was published one year after his death.

Collaboration's:

Big L was on two crews;

"Children of the corn" and "DITC (Diggin' In The Crates Crew)"

DITC:

Lord Finesse, Show Bizz, A.G, Diamond D, Fat Joe, Big L, OC, Buckwild.

Children of the corn crew was a start to Big L when convinced Lord Finesse at back of the store called "Rock N Wills" that he was more than a rapper.

I remember on Big L's tribute song that Lord Finesse said:

"When we first meat meet at the back of Rock N Wills, I know you was a problem when I copped(?) you a deal. It was all just a dream, but shit got for real.

Lord Finesse hooked him up deal and that how "Lifestyle ov da poor and dangerous" was made.

Children Of The Corn:

Ma$e, Big L, Camron, Digga, McGruff, BloodShed

Big L made crew and started very knowned rapper's carareers like Camron, Ma$e and Camron's cousin Blood Shed.

Crew didnt get record deal even know that they published over 30 songs and sell mixtapes back of the truck.

Crews end was that Ma$e lost his mind and left them to sign with P.Diddy and Bad boy records (and guess what? everything else for that on was wack!), Camron went to gollege and when he was back to make record Blood Shed died in car accident.

Big L and camron both singed as single record deals.

Last staple was Big L's death and crew didnt never made on top.

Murder:

On the evening of February 15, 1999, Big L was shot multiple times in the head and chest and killed near his Harlem home. Early indications led many to believe that Coleman was killed because of a debt owed by his older brother, Leroy Phinazee, who was in jail at the time and was therefore inaccessible. It has also been speculated that the murderer mistook Lamont for his brother on the night he was shot. Some time after his release from prison in 2002, Leroy Phinazee was murdered on the same street as his brother after attempting to find out who had shot him.

Other:
On February 10th, 2008, Big L's mother, Gilda Terry, passed away; 5 days shy of the 9th anniversary of Big L's death.

My words:

I miss Big L very much and thats why Im sharing he's legacy for you all.

REST IN PEACE!
