HOLLYWOOD - Singer/actress Jessica Simpson has been hospitalized with a minor kidney infection.

The 27-year-old checked into Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Friday complaining of "feeling achy" and suffering a "fever," reports In Touch Weekly magazine.

Simpson has responded well to treatment and is expected to be released later on Monday, according to her representative.
