HOLLYWOOD - Actress/singer Jessica Simpson has been discharged from the hospital after being rushed in with a minor kidney infection.

The 27-year-old checked into Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Friday complaining of "feeling achy" and suffering from a "fever."

The reality TV star responded well to treatment and was released on Monday, according to her representative Lauren Auslander.

She insists Simpson is feeling "much better now."
