I have a problem with the latest version. The downloading section does not keep complete focus on the file I have selected. It keeps jumping to other files on the list even though the details do not get updated. How it jumps is different depending on how I sort. It behaves normally in the All Downloads section.

What is the correct way to report bugs anyway. I cannot see it on the main page or in the software.

I should mention that I added columns to my display, CreateDate, and CompleteDate, but the previous version worked without problem with CompleteDate included.

  • I have discovered that it no longer does this if real-time sort is turned off.

BitComet is the fastest ever bittorrent client. I would like you to improve BitComet by adding autoshutdown after the downloads are complete to its settings. Hope you will improve BitComet by adding this option !!!

Hi!

I have a problem with this version of bitcomet. I add a new task to dowload list and the task finishes downlowding but then it wont start to download the "real" file.

Everithing worked fine with 0.99 version.

Any tips?

Thanks

Hi

I'm having a problem with version 1.02 where completed downloaded file(s)(100%) still show up as unfinished bitcomet files when you go into the actual folder where they are saved.

However when I downgrade the bitcomet version from 1.02, this resolved the problem.

Thanks

  • I'm having the same problem it reaches 100% and it drops back to 95% then reaches 99.xx% and wont finish

Downgrading to 1.01 seems to work.

  • I see this too.

I fixed it by right-click on the file, then do a fixed it by right-click on the file, then do a . That fixes the files to 100%.

Trying to help tracking down the "completion bug".

Here are my observations:

* torrents seem to complete, BC interface shows 100% (and executes virus scan if configured so), but some torrent files keep their .bc! extensions.

* bug appears limited to version 1.02. Not occuring on 1.01, 1.00, 0.99 and any earlier.

* bug appears to befall torrents nearing completion (99.xx% and up).

* on some torrents, .bc! files were actually complete, but stayed un-renamed. example - an array of .rXX files (split .rar) were recoverable by removing the .bc! suffix and then extracting out of the complete array (.sfv check passed, too).

* on some torrents, .bc! files were truly incomplete, but repeated and patient Stop & Start on that particular torrent would eventually make them complete.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Hroch.

  • A thought: any connection with the announced EVENT_COMPLETE change?

any word on a new release?

I use Vista and BitComet 1.02, when I download something I read "task completed 100%" in the BitComet window, but on the hard disk I find "something.exe.bc!". I tried to rename the file, erasing the "bc!" suffix, and I noticed that the file was been fully downloaded and it was fully functional. I have used BitComet 1.01 and I have never had problems. I think it is a Bitcomet 1.02 bug!

You may wish to go in to the bitcomet options and go to BT Task in the left window, then in the right window look for ′hash check again when the task download is finished′ and check the box next to it....

this will force bitcomet to hash check the files again after downloading and should be a work around for this bug which I get too...

Hope that helps some of you out...

I also noticed a couple of problems for some time, but was unsure of how to tell anyone.

1. I have changed the Default Destination for some of the built in Categories such as Music and software, however when the torrent tracker automatically detects that type, it does not set the directory properly. I have to reselect the type/category in the torrent download window to have it go to the desired folder.

2. Sometimes when I open Bitcomet, my list port is open and the light shows green, but other times it is yellow. This problem only occurs when I am at home behind my personal router. I have Upnp setup in the router & bitcomet. Should that not open the listen port automatically?

P.S. I do enjoy using bitcomet very much and have for some time. Thank you for all of your hard work with this product.

BitComet 1.02

My problems:

clicking on the active running torrent-file is NOT visible (I can NOT click it),

option-menu of the file does NOT appear,

deleting a file do NOT work and

the starting of the client takes to many times (it stops or freeze).
