New BitComet Support Forum

We Now have a fully Staffed Support forum open to all users at

The Staff from forums.bitcomet.com have joined together to assist users in this new multilingual forum, offering support in English Spanish and French.

The purpose of this forum is not to replace the tocomet system, but to give users an alternative location to speak to the Tech Support Staff from forums.bitcomet.com, and read our many expertly prepared guides, in a format better organized then a single category system we have here.

I will be administrating this new forum as well as providing tech support, as well as all the familiar faces you have come to know.

HI,MY NAME IS JOHN AND I NEED SOME SERIOUS HELP!!! I'M OVER 50 AND I AM TRYING TO GET WITH THE 21ST CENTURY,LOL. I HAVE A BLOG(ROADRUNNER) AND I POSTED A QUESTION BUT NO REPLY'S,SO I GUESS I'LL BOTHER YOU,LOL. MY PROBLEM IS WHEN I TRY TO UPDATE FROM BITCOMET 1.01 TO 1.02 OR 1.03, I AM NOT ABLE TO DOWNLOAD ANY TORRENTS AS I HAVE BEEN DOING WITH 1.01. WHEN I TRY TO DOWNLOAD WITH BITCOMET 1.02 OR 1.03, I KEEP GETTING THE TORRENT IS EMPTY(????). SO, I REINSTALL BITCOMET 1.01 AND EVERYTHING IS FINE AGAIN. I AM OPERATING VISTA HOME PREMIUM WITH SP1 AND I WAS WONDERING IF THIS MIGHT BE A PROBLEM AS I HAVE FOUND WHEN TRYING TO INSTALL SOME PROGRAMS THAT THEY ARE NOT SUPPORTED BY VISTA HOME PREMIUM OR COMPATABLE. Hi,
These versions should run fine on Vista, but if 101 works for you, I'd say don't try to fix what isn't broken.
If I was there with you, diagnosing the problem wouldn't be hard, but to do so through forum posts would be near impossible if your knowledge is limited, as you claim.

hi i have download a torrent(rise % fall) i install the game with deamon tools but when i start the game i show a message"please insert a licensed cd" please help.

go to www.gameburnworld.com and download a no-cd key it is a small file that you copy into the directory you installed the game into that tricks the computer into thinking it is a real disk. then you wont even need to mount the image. contact me for help if required.

Hi peeps,

Im using bitcomet beta, and all my music downloads and movie downloads wont finish, they get to 99% and jus stay there even though they are still downloading. One of my albums is dowloading at 230KB but wont budge from 98%, the ETA is constantly at 8 seconds. Whats going on ??

Stop Download/Right click on file/manual hash check/When that finishes restart downloading!!!

Beta versions are issued only for testing. Try doing a manual rehash, if that doesn't help, download the latest stable version.

I have exactly the same problem as mentioned here above by Red_Xi and though I don′t know what a manual rehash is I do have the latest stable version (BitComet 1.03).

What can I do?

Hi again,

In addition to my previous post I have to tell that I found out in the meantime what the manual rehash test is (and that I have to stop the download first, before it works) and since that two files indeed completed downloading.

The strange thing, however, is that all these files, in the summary list under downloaded, show a much bigger size - sometimes up to four times as big - as shown in the download panel.

U did nothing wrong, u just need the right codecs I would say.

The best thing I found was called "NERO VISION 9". It comes fully packed with decoders,transcoders,can do AVI TO DVD, MP3 MP4 BLU-RAY.DVD TO AVI.Not found anything it can not do yet.

for some reason my PEER list is frozen now, it only changes when I click on another column then back, it allways updated every second like everything else, pls. help I like watchin the information flow in and out and see all the peers I am connected too. Thanx for any help!!!

Hey,

I have been using Bitcomet for a couple of years now with no problem. I just recently upgraded to 1.03 verison and now all my downloads stopped at 99.8, 99.6, 98.9, etc. It's also slower than before since I upgraded. Is anyone else having this problem? If so how can I fix it?

yes you are not alone... i upgraded from 0.62 to
v 1.05 and i have never seen such slow downloads and I do everything that is asked of me ie: signing in, download plugins etc etc... as well I have had so many downloads stall at 99.9 percent and I hash and rehash to no avail... if it doesn't get any better soon i will have to regretfully go to another bittorent... I really do not want to leave Bitcomet, as I feel like part of a family here... and the peers are great..
I have a vista notebook that is much smaller then my main computer and it gets faster downloads... but I am using v0.98 on my laptop that has vista and I cannot see any of the downloads. My screen is blank but they are downloading. I don't know what to do anymore.
My main computer is:
MODEL - ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. A7NBX-E.
CPU - AMD Antholon (tm) XP (2800+)
RAM - 2559.484375MB
GPU - NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 128 MB
OS - Microsoft Windows XP Professional...

I would appreciate any positive feedback...

Yeah, well.. I just moved here from the States and in VN you will not get anything close to what the rest of the world is getting. It has nothing to do with who's sharing and who's not. Don't bother wasting your time adjusting this that and the other thing. It won't help nor work. I'm in the same shoes and I've tried. If your running 1.07..... Trash it. Get satellite hook up and an older version of BitComet.

i just upgraded to 1.04. now everytime i double click on any of the site on the sidebar a box pop up and say "windows cannot find http://www...................."

can anybody help me fix this. it has never happen b4 with the previous version.
