HOLLYWOOD - Socialite Paris Hilton spent her first day of freedom surrounded by family and well-wishers after she was released from jail on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old served 23 days of a 45-day sentence after being found guilty of violating her probation from a drunk-driving arrest last year.
After being released at 12:15 a.m. local time from Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood, California, Hilton went straight to her family's Bel Air mansion.
Throughout Tuesday, Hilton was sent gifts, including pink balloons and a frosted cake emblazoned with the words ‘Welcome Home.'
Her aunt Kyle Richards says, "She's very happy to be home--very, very happy. I think she's just excited to be at home and be with her family."
