When not promoting Pontiacs or roping Kevin Smith an Jason Mewes into shilling for Orbitz gum under the guise of giving them an award, the 2007 MTV Movie Awards spent Sunday night showing off tons of stuff from Transformers.
Transformers won the night’s “Best Summer Movie You Haven’t Seen Yet” award, and the movie itself was everywhere being spoofed and with the cast up handing out awards. The really interesting thing for anyone who’s not a marketing executive, is that we actually got some new Transformers footage out of it.
MTV has put up four, brand new clips from Michael Bay’s giant freakin robot movie up online. Three are actually footage from the film, expanded versions of scenes we’ve already seen bits of before. The fourth is a longer video in which Steven Spielberg and the cast talk about why Michael Bay is the awesome. I actually tried to misspell “the” just now, but Microsoft Word refused to let me. Damn you Gates. Damn you to hell sir.

Oh, and if you really have a serious Autobot obsession, GM has launched a Transformers promotional site which they claim also has more exclusive content. I can’t verify that for you, because there’s no way in hell I’m giving them my email address. I don’t need Camaro spam. But if you want to give it a try, go here.
