i get what score does and i get how to get points but does anyone know what the hell points are for ive been researching it and havent come up with any legit answers mind you im asking about points and not score please help

I believe Points are the "Static/Permanent" Record of your points, Score gets cleared every day, So I Believe it takes your Points, and adds them to your daily time and daily kbs and creates a new score every day, then adds that to your xp.

When you have a gift box module, click the [Check Gifts]. Then go to gift shop. To buy these, you must use points.

the points are also for people that play mwo, when they do it you can convert the points to in game platinum to use to buy things

No I don't think so. That's score not points u know.

The "your BitComet score = platinum" events remember.
