Before I reformatted my HD I watch movies on Mpcstar but after installing a new version an error "open file failed" always appearing on my screen. I uninstalled and installed Mpcstar several times but always getting the same results. Please help.

Go to this site: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?msvcr71
and download msvcr71.dll.zip. Unzip and add the msvcr71.dll to folder C:\WINDOWS\system32\
Restart player.
This should work for all whom had playback problems as I did.

Your msvcr71.dll idea did not work........ i still cannot play my movies on mpcstar .
is there another movie player put there? DivX maybe?

Dear u can use VLC media player to play ur movies.
dl it from www.videolan.org
and it will work fine, its as good as MPC,
have fun
if that didnt work, reinstall windows, u might hav a corrupt OS.
