HOLLYWOOD - Kid Rock was ejected from Sunday night's MTV Video Music Awards after attacking former love rival Tommy Lee.

The rap-rocker was escorted from the ceremony in Las Vegas in front of thousands of fans after punching the Motley Crue drummer.

Lee married Pamela Anderson in 1995, before divorcing three years later--while the former Baywatch beauty filed for divorce against Rock just four months after they wed last August.

Anderson was at the show and presented an award, but it is unclear what the two fought about.

A source tells People.com, "Tommy Lee was sitting by Diddy. (Kid Rock) just walked up and decked him.

"They had each other at the necks, they were practically strangling each other."

Jamie Foxx, who presented Gym Class Heroes with the Best New Artist award, joked, "Stop all of this white-on-white crime. Tommy Lee and Kid Rock fighting like black folks--it's hilarious.

"Who won? I was in the bathroom." 

Sean 'Diddy' Combs also mocked the fight, adding, "I was supposed to be doing this with Kid Rock, but you know, we got to stop the violence," he joked. "It's not just hip-hop artists that fight."
